David now endorsed by HEAD FIRST custom bass drum heads. David commented, "From the minute I talked to Pat at Head First by phone, I knew they could pull off the impossible, which was what I was asking. I wanted my cake, and needed to eat it also. I called in a panic looking for someone to take on the task of designing a custom head for the upcoming video shoot in Florida, but I wasn't asking to have a normal turn around time of 3 weeks, I needed it and ON my kick drum no later than 3 days. Every single obstacle that I threw at Pat over at Head First was received VERY well and his response was smooth, calm and collected, he literally said "yes" to everything I asked and was able to back it up! By far the best customer/artist relations I've EVER experienced! The end product is simply amazing, photos coming soon".

DAVID ANNOUNCES ANOTHER TOUR
David joins the Phil Vaught band.
David first met and heard of Phil Vaught earlier this year in Biloxi, MS. After a Van-Dells show David had played, he visited a neighboring Casino on the gulf coast to find a smoking band playing to a packed crowd. He talked with the band on break and was soon invited up to jam with the group. The next night, he jammed with them again after what was ironically his last Van-Dells show. The next day, the Van-Dells came across the Phil Vaught tour bus as a truck stop both in route to Nashville, TN. Contact information was exchanged and both parties kept in contact. David had recently been offered the full time position and will start with the band in Tulsa, OK in July once his touring commitments to the Kelly Richey band expires in late June. DAVID ANNOUNCES TOUR
David to tour with The Kelly Richey Band
David is proud to announce plans to tour this summer with The Kelly Richey Band. David first heard of Kelly two years ago when she was looking for a fill in drummer, soon after their first meeting, literally the next night David was playing a live show with Kelly. Through the next two years he filled in touring dates with her off and on. After David announced his departure from the Van-Dells in early 2005, he received numerous tour offers from across the country. He proceeded to sift through the offers for just the appropriate one when Kelly and David started meetings and negotiations. The tour with David kicks off on May 20th in Key West, FL and will cross the US hitting many cities playing concert venue style clubs and festivals and David's part of the tour will end on a European leg of the tour in late June. - For those of you who missed out on David's last show with the Van-Dells, he saved one of his last signature sticks from the show on Feb. 26, 2005 in Biloxi, MS.

- For those of you who missed out on the Van-Dells reunion show in October of 2004. David tossed out a few rare items, five of which were autographed drum heads that most of the reunion members signed before the show. David held onto one of them for his personal collection. Note the head has a small cut, which is a safety hazard when tossing to a crowd of people, another reason it was not given away that night. It is now up for auction. A printed list of autographs follow the photo.

DAVID STEPS DOWN AS VAN-DELLS DRUMMER
David has turned in his resignation as the drummer for the Van-Dells. David's last regularly scheduled performance with the Van-Dells will be Feb. 26th in Biloxi, MS. The following statement was issued by David.
"After years of endless touring, recording sessions and rehearsals, it is with great displeasure to announce my departure from the Van-Dells. I have made a decision to move forward in my career. I'll now have more time to dedicate to the areas of the business that interest me more. I wish the Van-Dells and all members and crew the best in the future, personally and professionally. Even though I feel it to be necessary to depart at this time to further my career, it hurts to leave as the guys have become family. The show in Biloxi, MS on February 26th will be my last regularly scheduled performance with the Van-Dells, however, you just never know when I might show up to work fill in dates or just to say hello as I'm leaving the band on good terms. It will be bitter sweet on the 26th with a few tears I'm sure, but I'm also excited about the prospects of my very promising future. I'll be announcing all future endeavors on www.davidparksonline.com
TO THE FANS
I've enjoyed every second of it and hold endless amounts of gratitude to the
fans who have shown heartfelt and limitless dedication. I have received many
e-mails from fans who have heard it through the rumor mill about my departure,
thank you for your kindness and compliments. You will never know how much your
support over the years has meant to me. Thank you all from the bottom of my
heart and I hope you continue to follow my career.
THE FUTURE
I will remain in the music/entertainment business. I will have an original song
available for download via
www.davidparksonline.com starting March 1, 2005. You can download a
sample clip
HERE.
I plan to write and record, continuing to release my original material. My
immediate future consists of teaching lessons, clinics and mater classes,
working studio and live sessions for various artists. I expect to become a BMI
affiliated writer with in the next month. I plan on plugging my original songs
in Nashville as well as my drumming services to label artists."
